He was predeceased by: his parent Virgil Leroy Downs. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gause Downs of Amherst; his mother Ethel Anderson Downs; his children, Jeffrey Downs (Michelle) of Chesapeake and Kimberly Gillian (Charles) of Spring Hill, TN; and his siblings, Sandra Downs of Mansfield, OH and Bruce Downs (Leigh) of Mansfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
