She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Henry Childress and Dora Moore Childress; her husband Elmo Preston Franklin; and her son-in-law Butch. She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Burgess Pugh, Cindy Martin (Mike) and Keith Franklin (Dana).
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Hill Memorial Park (5196 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
