He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Gilbert, Sr. and Nannie L. Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Wanda F. Gilbert; his sons, Ronald D. Gilbert (Missy), Mark H. Gilbert (Angie) and Jeremy O. Gilbert (Christie); and his siblings, Charles H. Gilbert, Jr. and Jean Poindexter. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (2209 Buffalo Springs Turnpike, Monroe, VA 24574). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
