He is survived by: his wife Judy Bowling Grindstaff; his sons, Scott Grindstaff (Traci) of Alexandria, KY, Bill Grindstaff (Stephanie) of Arlington, TX and Tom Grindstaff (Stacie) of Covington, KY; his stepchildren, Franklin Ramsey (Petra) of Spring Grove, IL, Tim Ramsey (Andrea) of Atlanta, GA, David Ramsey (Mary) of Blacksburg, VA and Tonya Foster of Roanoke, VA; and his siblings, Arlene Lemon of Loris, SC and Carl Grindstaff of Newport, KY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and other loving family members and friends.
