He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha H. Wheeler and Virginia G. Wheeler; and his siblings, Haywood Wheeler, Lucinda Burley-Urban and Naomi Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley L. Wheeler; his daughters, Kim Wheeler Morcom (Greg) and Cynthia Wheeler Bryant (Chris); his grandchildren, Randall Morcom, Tiffany Sprinkle (Hunter) and Caleb Bryant (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Keegan, Harper Sprinkle, Easton, Mason Bryant and Kayden Campbell; and his siblings, Darnelle Mawyer, Romelda Falls (Ray) and Thurston Wheeler (Shirley).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Clifford Baptist Church, 635 Fletchers Level Road, Amherst VA 24521.
