He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bernard McDearmon, Sr. and Louise Thurmond McDearmon; and his brother James Bernard McDearmon, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Black McDearmon; his children, Benjamin Farrar McDearmon (Julie) of Washington, D. C. and Margaret Elaine McDearmon of Richmond; his sister Virginia McDearmon Ellis (Robert) of Wilmington; and his sister-in-law Patti McDearmon of Greensboro. He is also survived by five nephews and one niece.
