It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Davis Morris (Amherst, Virginia), who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emily Davis Morris to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Warren Davis, Sr. and Mary Watts Davis; her former husband Davis Hill McDaniel; her husband Fred William Morris; her half-brother Lloyd A. Watts; and her siblings, Warren Davis, Jr., James L. Davis, John Dudley Davis and Elizabeth D. Lane.
She is survived by: her son Dudley Hill McDaniel (Sandra); her granddaughter Mary Margaret McDaniel Prange (Trent); her stepson Ellis Michael Morris (Deborah); her stepgrandsons, Michael Peyton Morris (Jenna), James Duff Morris and John Leland Morris; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Haley Christinia Morris, Andrew Reagan Morris, Ellie Rebecca Eloise Morris, Elizabeth Sawyer Morris, Mary Ellis Morris and John "Jack" Leland Morris, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Sue L. Davis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
For the safety of all due to COVID-19 funeral services will be private.
The family would like to thank Runk and Pratt of Forest and Seven Hills Hospice for their love, dedication and care during her long struggle with Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
