It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dolores Elizabeth O'Brien of Amherst, Virginia, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. White and Clara Higgins White; her husband James R. O'Brien; her siblings, May MacIhenney, Dorothy Gross and Richard White; and her daughter Nancy Hill O'Brien.

She is survived by: her children, Dolores Febinger (Don), James O'Brien and Steven E. O'Brien (Ginny); and her brother George W. White Jr. (Sugar). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Tunnel2 Towers or Mountain Missions in Grundy, Virginia.
