He was predeceased by: his stepfather Jeff Cosby; his parent Lucille Ellis Cosby; his siblings, Catherine Rose and Harry Ellis Sr.; his wife Deaconess Joe Ann Ellis; his son-in-law Henry Beverly; his grandson Henry Thornton; and his great grandchild Lea Lombre.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Beverly of Amherst, VA, Elaine Glover (James) of Amherst, VA, Eddie Ellis Jr. (Lucille) of Amherst, VA, Brenda Ferguson (Fred) of Amherst, VA, Mamie Glover (Clinton Sr.) of Amherst, VA, Walter Ellis Sr. (April) of Amherst, VA, Henry Ellis of Amherst, VA, Lucille Henry (John) of Spout Spring, VA and Wayne Ellis, Sr. (Yulita) of Gladstone, VA. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
