We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2023, at the age of 84, Christine Harris Brown Lyon of Amherst, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sims Harris and Margaret Clarke Harris; her children, Wendy, Lorraine and John Brown; and her granddaughter Lutoria Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Atcherson of Lynchburg, James Brown of Amherst, Penny Sanford of Lynchburg, Cornell Brown of Amherst, April Callands (Jeff) of Madison Heights and Vernon Lyon of Rustburg; and her sisters, Bettie Johnson-Lewis of Hyattsville, MD and Rosa Brown of Washington, D. C.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
