He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dewey Mays and Elizabeth Lawhorn Mays; and his siblings, Freddie Mays and Helen Bowling. He is survived by: his children, Donna Mitchell (David), Charles "Pete" Mays (Dianne) and Jennifer Wood; his grandchildren, Erica Mays, Brook Burks (Joshua), Joshua Mays (Kelly), Jeremy Mays (Mandy), Adam Clark and Robert Clark; and his great grandchildren, Mason Mays, Chase Freeman, Luke Freeman, Jordan Kiger, Mackenzie Rivera, Kaleb Mays, Lacey Mays, Zack Smith, Bethany Mays, Madison Clark and Julian Clark.
