Bertie Louise Nelson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertie Louise Nelson of Amherst, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Bertie Louise shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bertie Louise farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Byrd Gilbert and Vernie Austin Gilbert; and her sister Virginia Bagby. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Nelson, Jr. (Sue) and Michael Nelson (Sharon); and her granddaughter Cindy Morris.
