She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert L. Franklin and Lillian Eva Franklin; her husband Cecil R. Brooks, Sr.; her son Freddie A. Brooks; and her siblings, Joyce Haynes and Alton Franklin.
She is survived by: her children, Cecil Brooks, Jr. (Deb), Donnie Brooks (Martha) and Wanda McGee (David); her daughter-in-law LaNelle Brooks; and her grandsons, Donnie Brooks, Jr. and Justin Brooks.
