It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Barnes Foster (Amherst, Virginia), born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 22, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Dudley Foster; his daughter Deborah Brown (Peronneau IV) of Monroe; his brother David Foster of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Colton Brown and Heather Cook (Tommy).
