He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Arlene Jones. He is survived by: his son Steven Rex Jones (Beth); his brothers, Jerry Jones of Powhatan and Bobby Jones of Amelia; and his grandchildren, Brandy Davis (Trey) and Cody Jones (Shannon). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

“Wilbur was a good friend of the family. He was a dear and wonderful friend to my dad, Pete Jones and x-husband, Donnie Adcock. He was devoted to my dad and travelled to Roanoke for dad’s visitation, returned to Amelia and drove again the next day for a loving funeral and freezing graveside service in Jan, 2015. He will always have a special place in my heart for his kindness… Wilbur give my dad, Pete, and late husband, Bobby Daniels, big hugs for me! Rest in peace, my friend.”
