It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Carol Porter (Amelia Court House, Virginia), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Ina "Grace"; her husband William E. "Junie" Porter, Jr.; her sons, Leslie Wayne and Jeffrey Carl Sr.; her grandson Jeffrey Carl, Jr.; and her son-in-law Edward McCready.
She is survived by: her children, William E. Porter III (Charlotte) of Richmond, Susan McCready of Victoria, Cynthia Terry (Christian) of Amelia and Mary Anne Sweeney (Paul) of Clayton, NC; her daughter-in-law Brenda Porter; and her grandchildren, Kristopher Norman, Amy Barker (David), Michael Stahl (Melissa), Matthew Terry, David Terry (Anna), Andrew Sweeney (Melanie) and Shannon Black (Michael). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
