He was predeceased by: his brother Arthur Gregg Dodson. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Scallions Dodson of Ripley, Tennessee.; his children, Mark Erwin Dodson, Kay Dodson Congdon and Lauri Vangor Hernandez; his grandsons, Jeffrey Whitefield Congdon, Jr. (Molly Hickerson Congdon) and Mark Ross Congdon (Chelsea Voltz Congdon); his great grandchildren, Lillian Grace, Jeffrey Whitefield, III (Chip), Addison Elizabeth, Helen Virginia, Caroline Lane, Phillip Rhodes and Parker Ross; and his siblings, Ardyth Dodson Stone and David Gaylord Dodson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
