She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas M. Handy Sr.; her son Douglas M. "Butch" Handy Jr.; her parents, Roy A. Inge and Florence B. Inge; her siblings, William A. "Bill" Inge and Betty I. Aldrich; and her nephews, Jerry A. Freeman, Terry Inge, David A. York and Charles A. "Chuck" Inge.
She is survived by: her siblings, Charles L. Inge of Crewe, Mary I. Freeman of Richmond, Doris I. Schnell of Crewe, Carolyn I. York of Blackstone and Nancy I. Presley of Crewe; her daughter Lisa Stokes; her grandchildren, Scott Maranzano and Mekella Reid (Mark); and her family, Dickie Handy of Amelia, Joan H. Hastings (Frank) of Amelia and Jean H. Lewis of Blackstone. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with her adopted family.
