He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Comerford and Bob Comerford. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Comerford; his children, Shannon Comerford and Matthew Comerford (Erin); his siblings, Candy Mowles (Mike) of Chesapeake, VA, Kathy Oristaglio (Ken) of Crewe, Karen Starr (Coy) of Latta, SC and Larry Comerford (Susan) of Lynchburg; his parents-in-law, Janet and Tom Hunter of Blackstone; and his sisters-in-law, Lynne Roberts (Robbie) of Crewe and Tami Lafreniere of Williamsburg. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer research organization of choice.
