He was predeceased by: his son John L.; and his great grandchild Kennedy. He is survived by: his spouse Marria Belle McKensie; his children, Thelma, Darrell Sr. (Deborah), Lydia (Willie) and Michael (Angela); his grandchildren, Shalise, Demetria, Monique, Darrell Jr., Ericka, Tiara and Linnard; his great grandchildren, Zion, Noah, Makaden, Takiyah, Makarli and Miles; his sister Ella Crayton; and his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Bates and John Hawkins. He is also survived by nieces & nephews along with special, devoted adopted family and friends.
