He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Martin and Jennie Woodson Martin; and his daughter Susan Martin. He is survived by: his wife Jewell; his children, Sandra Warren of Buckingham, Joe T. Martin Jr. of Midlothian, Bonnie Harver (Al) of Amelia, Dennis Llewellyn (Mitzi) of Amelia and Monica Knicely (William) of Crewe; and his sister Jeanette Petty of South Carolina. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
