It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hubert R. Powell Jr. of Amelia Court House, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa C. Powell, and Hubert R. Powell, Sr.; his wife Betty Jean Powell; his son David Anthony Powell; his granddaughter Jennifer Coates; and his siblings, John Wesley Powell, Charles Powell, Helen Thacker and Elizabeth Green.
He is survived by: his sons, Hubert Lynn Powell (Jackie Powell) and Chris Powell (Shawn Powell); his stepson Ronnie Williams; his grandchildren, Nikki, Jessica, Jonathan, Amanda, Matthew and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Ally, Dylan, Brianna, Jay, Mason, Ella and Brantley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dale Memorial Park (10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832).
