It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byrdie I. Harris (Amelia Court House, Virginia), who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Felix Harris, Sr., Ruth Bailey, Lucy Cotman, Louise Hunt and Lela Booker; her husband Charlie Harris; her siblings, Sarah Ann Monroe, Marvin, Henry Thomas, James Allen and William Broadnax; and her friend Ida Burrell.

She is survived by: her children, Rose Alston, Elsie Gutrick, Edward Harris, Charles Lee Harris and Alfred Harris; her brothers, John Broadnax (Catherine) and Reuben Broadnax (Gladys); and her daughter-in-law Karen Harris. She is also survived by Great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
