He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thornton and Ruth Victor Knight of Altavista. He is survived by: his wife Ann Johnson Knight of Lynchburg; his daughter Jenni Williams (Brad) of Simpsonville; his brother Ed; his siblings-in-law, Pam Knight of Towson, Lee and Rhonda Johnson of Forest; and his nieces and nephews, Beth Williams (Court), Bryant Knight (Bonnie), Savannah Cook (David) and Carmen Johnson. He is also survived by four great nieces and one great nephew.
