He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Claiborne Boley and Ethel Childress Boley; his sisters, Barbara Dalton and Margie Chronister; his wife Anita Dalton Boley; his children, Mark Boley of Greensboro, NC, Crystal Boley Neal (Lee) of Lynch Station and Lisa Boley Thurman (Jimmy) of Altavista; his brother Rudy Boley (Louise) of Collinsville; his grandchildren, Justin Neal of Lynchburg, Krissy Neal of Lynch Station, Scottie Gillespie (Morgan Burcham) of Burnet, TX and Bryan Gillespie (Paris) of Hurt; his great grandchildren, Brynley Neal, Brantley Neal, Ayvah Gillespie and Aceyn Gillespie; and his close friends, Donna Hall, Phillip Saunders, Holly Saunders, Ivy Saunders, Tammie Hodges and Charlotte Lane.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Altavista Fire Department or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
