She was predeceased by: her father Jesse Berger Short. She is survived by: her mother Mary Porterfield McCann of Appomattox; her son Larry Wayne Dalton (Melissa) of Rustburg; and her siblings, Mary Frances Short of Evington, Debra Martin (Tony) of Appomattox and Jesse Frank Short (Conny) of Germany. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
