Bishop Robert Lanter Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2020, at the age of 90, Bishop Robert Lanter Jr. (Altavista, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Anders Lanter; his grandparents, Matilda, Guy Boyles, Joseph and Nannie Martin Lanter; his siblings, Alma Clemons Arnold, Donald Lanter and Harold Lanter; and his son-in-law Dr. Jack Campbell.
He is survived by: his daughter Phyllis Campbell of Brookneal, VA; his granddaughter Vaneta Hunt (Bruce) of Brookneal, VA; his great grandchild Alexandra Jack (Ryan) of Brookneal, VA; and his siblings, Teresa Lester (Ricky) of Greenville, SC, Rev. Charles C. Lanter (Ann) of Apache Junction, AZ and Rev. James Buford Lanter (Doris) of Rockingham, NC. He is also survived by four nieces, and four nephews.
