He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Scott Solak (Ketlen), Jamie Solak Pickens (Scott), Heather Capozzi (Michael) and Sarah Dokken (Paul); his grandchildren, Emma Mobley, Lauren Capozzi, Caroline Capozzi and Julie Capozzi; his siblings, Jack Solak (Barbara), Therese Wis (Robert) and Leonard Solak (Barbara); his family, Cynthia Bernard (Patrick) and Michelle Fox (Michael Cox); and his grandchildren, Ashley Fox (Kris Fridley), Morgan Fox, Abby Bernard and Samantha Bernard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
