He was predeceased by: his father Richard John Knapp, Sr.; his brothers, Michael and Gregory Knapp; and his mother Georgianna Haas Knapp (Haas). He is survived by: his wife Ione Grubich; his children, Julie (Matt Uyemura), Paula (Kevin Cooper) and Steven (Kathryn Knapp); his grandchildren, David (Genevieve Cooper), Grant Cooper (Kayla), Jacob Imber (Madelyn), Garret Mix (Tyler), Zachary (Lauryn), Delaney Uyemura (Kiely), Emily (John Paul) and William (Catherine Knapp); and his great grandchild Sophia Imber. He is also survived by five brothers and five sisters, many nieces and nephews.
