She is survived by: her husband Steven of Alexandria, VA; her daughters, Kathryn (Katie) and Qin of Alexandria, VA; and her siblings, William Ellis (Joyce) of Chesterfield, VA, John Ellis (Nancy) of Otterbein, IN, Richard Ellis of Alexandria, VA and Melodie Ellis of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to the INOVA Health System Foundation or Foundation for Georgetown University Hospital, as a way of thanking them for the care she received during her illness.
