It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Ely of Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Diane F. Ely; his parents, Virgil G. Ely and Ethel M. Ely; and his brother John W. Ely. He is survived by: his son Stephen G. Ely; his grandsons, Peter N. Ely and Christopher G. Ely; and his sister Georgia Baker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
