He was predeceased by: his former wife Elisabeth Traub. He is survived by: his wife Bettie; his children, Ben (Abby), Sean (Angie), Shannon (Youssef), Nicky (Charles) and Rodney (Tammie); his father Calvin; and his siblings, James, Calvin and Helen. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Those desiring in lieu of flowers may make contributions to The Vietnam Helicopter Pilot and Crewmember Monument, to be dedicated on April 18, 2018, at Arlington National Cemetery.
