He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Sidney Johnson and Mary Vaughan Johnson; his wife Rosalie Voigt; his close friend Rosalie; and his daughter Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Linda, Michael, Tendai, Chido and Shona; his great grandchild Linda Johnson; and also, Maya Baumgartner, Morgan Baum (Jenny Baum), Theo Baum, Mary, Khalila, Dyani, Claude, Adreyan Skyy, Alexander Smith, Michael Johnson (Selina Phiri Johnson), Tionge Phiri Johnson, Tendai Johnson (Hoa Tran), Fadzi Tran Johnson and Chido Johnson. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
