She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Ives Hare Powel and Hope Hodgman Powel; her siblings, Adelaide Hare Powel Bitting and Thomas Ives Hare Powel, Jr.; her spouse Captain Richard Griffiss Alexander; and her children, Hope Griscom, Elizabeth Goddard, Katherine Field and Townsend Alexander. She was also cherished by her husband, her four children and their spouses: Lloyd Griscom, Thomas Goddard, Tylor Field and Kathleen Alexander, as well as eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
