She was predeceased by: her mother Bettye Mobley; her husband Breckenridge Shanklin; her sister Patricia Eaddy; and her son Darryl Shanklin. She is survived by: her son Breckenridge Shanklin Jr. (Mary); her sisters, Trudy Fowler, Phyllis Eugene and Deborah Nance; and her grandchildren, Terryl Walker, Deneace Walker, Shanell Poole, Apryl Daraja, Asziah Shanklin and Adriahn Shanklin. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
