He was predeceased by: his parents, Labib Hassan and Fatma Abd-Elhameed Elwakeel; and his siblings, Nawal Mahmoud Labib Hassan and Sayed Mahmoud Labib Hassan. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Dahlhoff Hassan; his sons, Ayman Labib (Erica), Tarik Labib and Tamer Hassan (Katey); his stepchildren, J. Christian Fritz III (Debbie) and Anne Fritz Linval (Leo); his grandchildren, Ella, Madelyn Labib, Evelyn, Charlie Labib, Hudson, Alexandria, Grayson Hassan, Greta, Jake, Emma Fritz, Leopold and Nola Linval; and his sister Mervat Mahmoud Labib Hassan of Egypt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in lieu of flowers.
