He is survived by: his parents, Clarence Simpson and Dorothy Simpson; his wife Lynne; his sister Sarah Fortney (Melvin); his children, Gayle, Dorothy Ellen and Don Jr. (Stacey); and his grandsons, Eric Funkhouser, Matt Funkhouser, Chris, Austin, Davis Beveridge, Cole Simpson and Max Simpson.
