She was predeceased by: her mother Emma Lovingood; and her sisters, Veronica Dixon, Betty Jo Herring, Jacqueline Hargrow and Yvonne Lucas.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Afua Asamoah, Regina Peprah, Comfort, Esther Boateng, Austria Quainoo and Bernardine; her children, Jacqueline McBride, Carmen Edmonds (Robert) of Alexandria, VA, Mario (Debra) of Charlottesville, VA and Zachary McBride (Debbie) of Woodbridge, VA; her grandchildren, Sahron Washington, James McBride, Summer McBride, Meghan McBride, Asja Butler, Amber McBride, Kiaya McBride and Heather McBride; and her brother Thomas Lovingood. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (711 N Columbus St, Alexandria, VA 22314).
