It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Miller of Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Gallahan and Mary Guise (Hottle); her husband Frederick "Buddy" Miller; and her grandson Brandon. She is survived by: her siblings, Vickie, Carla and Rick; her sons, Timothy Cox, David Cox (Kathleen), Anthony Cox and Bryan Miller (Bernadette); her grandchildren, Brittney (Derrick), Crystal, Jordan, Danielle (Devin), James, Nicholas, Ayzia and Buddy; and her great grandchildren, Rylee, Lucas, Adalyn, Luke, Rhylynn, Madisyn, Cayson, Lindsay and Bentley. She is also survived by several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of your choosing.

“I hear this with great sorrow. I met Barbara back in 2012, when I first moved in. I had been living in Milw and after becoming widowed, my family moved me to be nearer them. She was one of the first people I met and she was always a smiling face, in spite of her health. After getting to know her, we talked occasionally about her health, she was not a whinner, she knew there were some in worst shape than she. I moved nearly four years ago, but was still able to keep in touch, until recently.”
