It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ahmet A. Celayir (Alexandria, Virginia), who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Zehra Celayir; his brother Yuksel Celayir of Istanbul; and his parents, Abdulgaffar Celayir and Emine. He is survived by: his children, Shula Markland of Edgewater, MD, Debbie Blanton of Alexandria, VA and Gurur Celayir of Istanbul; his grandchildren, Mariah Markland, Julia Markland, Casey Markland, Jonathan Mroz and Isabelle Blanton; his son-in-law Glen Blanton; his grandson-in-law Ryan Lounes; his great grandchildren, Mason, Alexander and Autumn; his brother Cafer Celayir of Istanbul; and his nieces and nephews, Hulya, Idil, Haydar and Devrim.
