It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen George Dakes (Aldie, Virginia), born in New York, New York, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Virginia; his wife Betty Mantzouris Dakes; his children, George Dakes (Laura), Michael Dakes (Theano) and Stephanie Dolan (Tim); his grandchildren, Amy, Stelios, Maria, Brittany and Stephen; his brother Mike Dakes (Diane); and his brother-in-law Nicholas Mantzouris (Angela). He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
