He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Benjamin Wood and Mattie Blanche Hodges Wood; and his son Michael Wood. He is survived by: his wife Alberta L. "Bert" Wood; his children, Wanda S., Connie W. Wright (Kenny) and William J. "Joey" Wood, Jr.; his grandchildren, Michelle Scott (Rich), Christina Brewer (Jim), Kenneth Wright, Jr., Michael Barden (Brandi) and Jessica Wood; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Goddard, Brandon Goddard, Mason Scott, Kalynne Scott, Blaine Scott, Jay Brewer, William Brewer, Lucas Barden, Carson Ellis and McKenzie Wood.
