It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Laffoon Daniel of Alberta, Virginia, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonza Wilkins and Carrie Rawlings Laffoon; her husband Charles C. Daniel; her son-in-law Leonard F. "Derick" Thomas, Jr.; and her siblings, Alonza Wilkins Laffoon, Jr., Clinton Burgess Lafoon (Helen), Willard Laffoon (Eolin), Etta L. Ogburn (Melvin), Elnor L. Maitland (Lloyd) and Ida L. Maitland (Elson).
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda D. Thomas and Connie D. Bailey (Roger); her grandchildren, Matthew D. Thomas, Preslee-Anne Thomas and Carrie K. Bailey; and her sister-in-law Doma D. Browder. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
