He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Britt and Sadie Clarke Britt; his stepmother Edna H. Britt; and his siblings, Dunford, I, Gerald Wayne Britt and Mary Gill Radford.
He is survived by: his friend Rosemarie Roberts of McKenney; his children, Donald Britt (Judy) of Alberta, James G. Britt Jr. of Alberta and Ceretha D. Byrd of Chesterfield; his grandchildren, Ryan W. Britt (Lindsay) of Alberta, Adam S. Britt (Amber) of Alberta, Jessica A. Britt of Alberta and Chelsea L. Britt of Alberta; and his great grandchildren, Tatum, Presley and Emmerson.
