With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle Thompson of Afton, Virginia, who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie T. Thompson and Bessie Smith Thompson; her siblings, Fred T. Thompson, Mary T. Thompson and Shirley M. Thompson; and her children, Diane McCauley and Theodore "Teddy" Berkley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Heath of Richmond, VA, Debra Berkley of Richmond, VA and Roberta Thompson of Fredericksburg, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (783 Avon Rd, Afton, VA 22920). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
