He is survived by: his sons, Kevin L. Awkard of Afton, VA. and Brian L. Awkard of Fredericksburg, VA; and his siblings, Herman Brad, Terry of Waynesboro, VA, Larry Awkard of Stuarts Draft, VA and Janet Harvey of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by one uncle, four aunts, a host of, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
