She was predeceased by: her parents, Rush M. Johns and Elsie G. Johns (Brown); her husband John K. Helfrick, Jr.; her daughter Janice K. Helfrick; her granddaughter Kori R. Helfrick Williams; and her siblings, Doris Thompson, Gwendolyn McBride, Gladys Gilbert, Betty Spong, Dorothy Loy and Richard Johns.
She is survived by: her children, John K. Helfrick, III of Afton, VA and Jena K. Helfrick of Afton, VA; and her sister Jean J. Smith Bacon of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
