He was predeceased by: his sister Sarah Sprague Roberts; and his grandparents, Dr. Ranny and Ruth Anne Chitwood. He is survived by: his mothers, Dr. Patty Chitwood of Blacksburg and Cindy Sprague of Newport; his sister Emily Sprague of San Juan; his stepbrother Jason Alvarez of Portland; his grandparents, Don and Marg Sprague of Mankato; and his pets, Arman, Mila and Gizmo. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As Colin loved taking care of animals, donations in his memory can be made to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center or the Humane Society of Montgomery County.
