With heavy hearts, we announce the death of April Jeannette Showers Brown of Afton, Virginia, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2021 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Brown; her son Sherman Patrick Brown; and her siblings, Carolyn Showers and Jimmy Edward Showers. She is survived by: her children, Stacey Nissley (John) of Churchville, VA, Angela Barnett (Mike) of Crozet, VA, Katy Brewer (Anthony) of Waynesboro and LeighAnn Brown; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Mitchell, Ethan Nissley, Patrick, Logan Barnett, Andrea, Garrett and Pete Brewer; and her siblings, Doug, Dallas Showers (Wendy) and Connie Snow.

Instead of flowers, she requested instead all such donations go to Midway Bible Baptist Church Building Fund.
