He is survived by: his wife Edith Ilene Tiller Deel; his children, Freda Joy White (Rick), Jeffrey Lance Deel (Maureen) and Tracy Scott Deel; his grandchildren, Julie Ann Farmer, Kelley Brooke Petkewicz (Zach), Sarah Lea McIntyre (Dewey) and Cody Waldon Lightfoot; his great grandchildren, Junilee Rosanna Farmer, Aubrey Marie Farmer, Zara Lillian Holbrook, Heidi Joy Petkewicz and Hazel Grace Petkewicz; and his brother Willard Deel.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farris Cremation & Funeral Center – Forest Hills Chapel (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
